I published this blog on November 8, 2008 at which time I mentioned a test I was doing about how quickly a new blog can get onto Google’s first page, for fairly competitive keyword terms.
I didn’t check every day but on the November 18, 2008 I did. This blog had a 4th and 5th place (indented listing) on the first page fo Google.
I have also noticed that for the last couple of days, today being November 27, 2008, it has been in the 3rd & 4th spots (again indented) on Google for the keyword term “elite seo services” and in the seventh spot (with our static site, regular website, in the #3 position.) for the term “elite SEO”.
Google though apparently, once again, just changed all the rules by now allowing users to select what sites are relevant to them. No doubt they will be tracking this and, with time, using it to affect rankings based on user reaction to the sites.
I have some thoughts about this that I will make them the subject of my next post.
I thank those that have commented and welcome any further comments anyone may have.
